Litha ~ December 22nd
Litha (or Midsummer) takes
place at the summer solstice, around June 21st or 22nd, on the longest day of the year. The sun is at its strongest, and the
earth will soon be ripe for harvest. The strength of the God is at its peak for the year. The Goddess is pregnant with the
God-child she will bear at Yule, and her abundance is reflected in nature.
